Node Editor Overview

Enabling the add-on adds a dedicated editor to Blender. Like Shader Nodes or Geometry Nodes, you can create a Node Tree and add nodes using the Shift+A shortcut.

The N-panel of the dedicated editor provides various features.

Eight nodes are available for the Close Bone Picker add-on, divided into three groups.

Bone Node Configuration

Build the virtual hierarchy by connecting Bone Nodes together. Select a bone in the 3D View, then click "Register Bone" within a Bone Node to assign that node to a specific bone. Bone Nodes allow you to freely add or remove parent and child connections, expressing parent-child relationships by linking them.

Once the hierarchy structure is built, select a Bone Node and click the "Send selected structure to Armature" button in the N-panel. The virtual bone hierarchy will be sent to the active Armature, enabling bone navigation along that hierarchy.

See the page below for actual bone selection operations.

You can also build a CBP Action — a macro function that can be registered for each individual bone.
